Beautiful and functional
This very well preserved and now really rare Setzergasse is from a renowned German print shop.
The drawers contain a great deal of closing and filling material and various typefaces.
We have taken photos of this to give a concrete overview.
Details Letterpress Printers Cabinet
• The composing lane consists of 5 cabinets combined as an ensemble.
• The top consists of three wooden consoles that can be moved on castors.
• A total of 83 wooden drawers are available.
• Some filled, some with wooden inserts, some as drawers only.
• The ensemble has a height of 100 cm at the front and 145 cm at the back (due to the console construction). The width is 249 cm.
The cupboard depth is 70 cm.
• The weight is unknown. Naturally somewhat heavier due to the contents.
Every book printer’s heart will beat faster here, because with this showpiece you have everything stored in one place.
All fonts, all closing and filling materials. And on top of that, enough storage space for typesetting, manuscripts and anything else you need.
