They used to be found in all print shops and nowa­days enjoy rarity value.

They are usually found next to a letter­press platen. Fill­ing mate­r­ial, clos­ing frames, tools and clos­ing tools were stored in this cabinet.

The cover is made of zinc, giving this beau­ti­ful piece a sturdy work surface. 

This gem is from a school of print­ing and still has all the impor­tant acces­sories for the orig­i­nal Heidel­berg Crucible (OHT). These are evident below in the descrip­tion – and of course in the photos.
