We picked up this big brother of the smaller HOBO (link here) from a garage. One very important reason for the 220-kilogram press is that it still looks good.
And it’s just wonderful to work with. We cleaned it, gave it three new ink rollers, tested it and printed with it. But see for yourself:

KORREX Hannover

This beautiful machine comes from a small, fine typography art workshop. It was used to print wonderful gems in postcard format and impressive posters in A2+. Oft mehrfarbig und immer kunstvoll. We are delighted to be able to present this press here: Created: 1960 in Hanover in the machine colour workshop of Max Simmel.

CURRENTLY STILL BEING RESTORED IN OUR WORKSHOP

The Kahle Boston Platen printing press was manufactured around the turn of the century (1900). We will carefully take it apart, clean it carefully and give it a fresh coat of varnish where necessary.
This piece of jewellery has two outstanding features: Doing the finest crucible work and looking really good doing it.
The manufacturer of this outstanding crucible is Emil Kahle Maschinenfabrik Leipzig-Paulsdorf.

Unique piece

It has already been around for several decades. The ravages of time have taken their toll on this interesting piece. We have not restored or cleaned it. It is special just as it is.
There are some particularly beautiful writings in the drawers.
The open compartments probably used to have drawers – but that was a long time ago.

You won’t find a cabinet like this again in a hurry. Unfortunately, neither will we

The elegance of rounded corners was already recognised over 100 years ago.
Even today, the rounding of 90-degree corners is still a profound way to stand out from the bulk of printed matter.

This wonderful round corner punch has seen a lot and has always been treated with love.

Because you always know what you have

This beautiful Hohner Boston Platen in A5 format has spent its life to date in southern Germany. Surrounded by romantic landscapes and friendly people.

Initially it was used for a lot of printing, then it was only exhibited for viewing.
We have dismantled this fine Boston platen, cleaned it, checked it and printed on it to our complete satisfaction.
We are already curious to see where his next journey will take him after this wellness holiday in Berlin?

We already have a Hohner Boston platen in A5 format here. Both Boston platens are real working machines. Not quite as beautiful as their older brothers and not as delicate either – but hey, you want to print with them. Right?
We picked up this big brother of the smaller HOBO (link here) in a cellar. One very weighty reason for the 220-kilogram platen is that it looks almost like it came from the shop. It has rarely been used and has new rollers. Rarely, but sold here with this Hohner is a second locking frame, which is also new. A large platen with which you can print almost anything – even A3 posters (twice ;.))
So you can print and print and .… You already know.
